A new work, heavily illustrated with both captions and detailed dhort histories, this book has accounts of the Algoma Central, Algoma Eastern, Bruce Mines & Algoma, Algoma Steel transportation International Transit and the CPR Sault branch.

Chartered in 1899, the Algoma Central was to have a main line 200 miles long from Sault Ste. Marie to join with the Canadian Pacific railway transcontinental line. It served mining properties, hauled lumber, steel and freight that fueled the expansion in the area between Hearst, Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury. It still runs the famous Agawa Canyon rail tour.

There are more than 300 photos and over 40 other graphics in these 144 pages.
