Believe it or not, this is our eighth year doing the Contest Calendar, and it is more popular every year.
There were an incredible number of deadline date changes last year. This year has seen the loss of a few contests, but actually, not as many as last year. And although some of the entry fees have increased a bit, the prize amounts are growing by HUGE leaps. Not at all what I expected. As usual we're being careful to get it as right as it can be by press time. Check for your contest, make sure it is still operating, and that the deadline is where you thought it would be. Then check again about a month before the deadline to confirm that there haven't been any other changes. And if there are, please send me an email, or a note to let us know.
The more places we can submit our work, the better we all become.
Full CONTEST information will be in the book. The complete 2010 Book Awards listings can be obtained directly from the Award sponsors. There has not been a large call for all this information to be posted on this website, so unless I hear differently from you, we will not be posting the Awards page.

We've crunched the numbers and can hold the line on the price of the Calendar, but we've already absorbed two price increases in postage, so there is a twenty-cent rise in shipping. We do the best we can, but to continue, this has to carry it's own expenses.
